The International Angelman community comes together on February 15 each year  to raise awareness of the condition and celebrate those who live with Angelman Syndrome. This year is the tenth anniversary of celebrating International Angelman Day which day will be marked by more than 50 charitable organisations in 40 countries around the world.

兔子先生lor Anne Hetherington, Lead Member for Adults, Health and Wellbeing, said:  "Lighting up our beautiful town hall is a simple but effective way in which we can raise awareness of this condition and inspire people to find out how more about it.

"It is only by raising awareness that we can seek to increase understanding of the condition while, of course, remembering those affected by it, and their friends and families."
