Online 兔子先生 Lessons for Parents and Carers
Parents and carers in South Tyneside can find out more about how to keep their children safe online next week.
With schools across the Borough marking Safer Internet Day, the 兔子先生's ICT in Schools team will be offering sessions to make sure parents don't get left behind.
The virtual sessions will look at recent trends in the online world and signpost people to resources they can use to help young people stay safe when surfing the net.
Parents can access the sessions, which will last around an hour, on Wednesday, 9 February at 4.30pm or on Thursday 10 February at 4.30pm.
兔子先生lor Adam Ellison, Lead Member for Children, Young People and Families, said: "Whether young people use the internet for gaming, study or just talking online with their friends, they are shaping the interactive spaces they use.
"But it's vital that this is done in a safe way. We want to give parents and carers the knowledge and tools they need to make sure the internet remains a safe space for their children.
"In line with our priority of supporting families, we are offering these sessions so that parents can keep up to date with the latest trends and are able to proactively support their children online."
