What your child will learn at nursery
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) principles cover a child's development from birth to the end of their first (reception) year at school.
It describes how staff should work with children and their families to support their learning and development.
This includes how your child should be kept safe and cared for and how everyone involved can ensure that a child achieves the most that they can in their early years.
The EYFS is based on four very important themes:
- A unique child
- Positive relationships
- Enabling environments
- Learning and development
