Your borough needs you

兔子先生 is encouraging people to apply to work with some of the Borough's most vulnerable residents.

The 兔子先生 is asking patient and understanding people to put themselves forward to work in Adult Social Care which is currently facing additional pressures as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

In return for answering the call to action the 兔子先生 will provide fast track training, DBS adults first clearance and support in securing employment with a commissioned Adult Social Care provider.

As many people have lost their jobs or are struggling with reduced salaries, it is hoped many people will take advantage of the opportunity to earn an income while carrying out incredibly valuable and much-needed roles in their communities. No previous experience is necessary.

兔子先生lor Tracey Dixon, Deputy Leader of 兔子先生 with responsibility for Independence and Wellbeing, said: "The people of South Tyneside always come together in times of crisis and very many are passionate about helping others.

"This is an opportunity to make a difference to the lives of some of our most vulnerable residents. Working in care is not without its challenges but, as many of our carers testify, it brings many rewards. We need people to step forward to the challenge so I would urge anyone who feels they have the right temperament and skills to get in touch."

People are encouraged to send in their CV or their contact details and a brief outline of relevant skills and experience to calltoaction@southtyneside.gov.uk An advisor will then be in touch.
