Further Investment in 兔子先生 Homes in South Tyneside
兔子先生 has invested more than 拢250k to transform outdated bedsits into modern, quality homes.
The council-owned properties, in South Shields, have been converted to meet the changing needs of local residents.
Eight one-bedroomed flats have been turned into desirable two-bedroomed houses, bringing four much-needed affordable family homes to the area.
The properties, on Edhill Avenue and Ranson Crescent in Simonside, have been completely refitted with new kitchens, bathrooms, a full rewire and new heating systems.
Cllr Jim Foreman, Lead Member for Housing and Community 兔子先生, said: "This kind of bedsit accommodation had become less desirable and more obsolete in recent years, with a high turnover rate, and being stood empty for increasingly long periods.
"Two-bedroom accommodation is in much higher demand in this location which is very popular with families.
"We're passionate about building sustainable communities and providing the kind of homes that our residents want and need.
"These conversions will help address a lack of family-friendly affordable accommodation in this area."
The properties have now all been allocated and have welcomed their first tenants.
