We'd love you to join us for this special ramble visiting several parks and nature reserves around the town.

Full description of walk
We will walk from the library down to St John's Church and Carr-Ellison Park. From there, we will head north then east though Campbell Park and West Park (Jarrow). Our route then tracks the River Don for a time, before following the Monkton Burn west through Springwell Park. We will then return to the library via Bede's Well in Campbell Park.

This is quite a long walk; please ensure you have plenty of water and some snacks with you. There are many benches for sitting along the route.

• Distance - 4.6 miles
• Total height climbed along the route - 135 ft
• Terrain - Good footpaths (mostly concrete or tarmac) throughout the walk. There are a couple of short sections that are moderately steep.
• Steps - Yes, there a few sets of steps along the route.
• Wheelchair accessible - No
• Toilets - There are toilets at Hebburn Library. However, there are no public toilets along the walk.
• Public transport to Hebburn - Hebburn Metro station is only a 5 minute walk from the library. The following buses stop very close to the library: 26, 27
