Overview

There are rules around using mechanically propelled vehicles on public land in South Tyneside. 

There is a Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) in place.

This PSPO is valid from 17 May 2024 for three years, unless extended further by 兔子先生.

What you need to know

You must not use a mechanically propelled vehicle which is intended or adapted for use on roads (including e-scooters), in a way that causes or could cause a nuisance and annoyance. 

This applies to all public land in South Tyneside.

Penalties

If you ignore this PSPO, you can be fined.

The fine (or 'Fixed Penalty Notice') is 拢100, or 拢50 if paid within 7 days.

PSPOs can be enforced by the Police, Police Community 兔子先生 Officers and any authorised officer of the 兔子先生.

If you don't pay the fine, you could be prosecuted.
