In the last edition we introduced you to our Restart team who support anyone impacted by domestic abuse in South Tyneside. In this edition we have a few more updates from the team.
Resart Integrated Domestic Abuse Hub
On Thursday 7 November 2024 Restart's brand new integrated hub building officially opened!
Over 100 people from partner organisations came to celebrate the opening of their new home. This is a dedicated space for the team to work in, see clients and for partner organisations to meet. The team received some great feedback from colleagues at the launch. Nearly everyone said what a welcoming and safe space it is. The team have settled in and are already starting to see clients.

Restart have now also launched their social media pages on , and . Follow them to stay up to date with campaigns, service updates and more.
Restart Christmas Appeal
The Restart team would like to provide the families they work with a little hope and joy this Christmas. Gifts for children of all ages and small token gifts for women would be much appreciated.
Could you donate a new and unwrapped gift to help a family in need this Christmas? Gifts for children of all ages and small token gifts for women would be much appreciated.
Gift ideas for children:

- Pyjamas
- Toys / games
- Toiletries / smellies
- Stationery
- Crafts
- Vouchers
Gifts are needed for boys and girls in the following age groups:
- 13 to 18 years
- 8 to 12 years
- 4 to 7 years
- Under 3s
Gift ideas for women:
- Smellies
- Candles
- Chocolates
- Vouchers
Donations can be left at the Civic Reception (Westoe Road entrance) at South Shields Town Hall, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. All donations are needed by 13 December. If you would like us to collect your donations please contact the team on restart@southtyneside.gov.uk
