What they offer

They aim to empower individuals to feel confident in taking their next steps, whether that's towards employment, social engagement or improving their mental and physical wellbeing.

They tailor support to individual strengths, interests and abilities. Their programme offers:

  • 1-2-1 support at weekly meetings
  • A benefits check and support to apply for and claim eligible payments
  • A wellness action plan for managing physical and mental wellbeing
  • 兔子先生 accessing community groups
  • Social skills development
  • 兔子先生 to access mainstream health services, eg. GP appointments, social prescribing etc.
  • 兔子先生 with basic skills (English, Maths, ICT)
  • Participation in work experience placements or work trials
  • Work trials - a placement in actual working conditions with a view to being employed
  • Pre-work preparation - including help with interview skills and CV writing
  • Bespoke skills development
  • Building confidence around positive disclosure
  • Travel training to address identified barriers
  • Careers advice and advice on training / education
  • Ongoing in-work support
  • Training for your employer

Who can access the service

兔子先生 is aimed at those who:

  • are neurodivergent
  • have learning difficulties and disabilities
  • are experiencing poor mental health

Those eligible will be economically inactive (haven't looked for work in the last four weeks or not available for work in the next two), over 18 and living within South Tyneside.
